If you are beaten and burnt with the summer heat, yet can’t scoop out time to visit the snowy hills of Kashmir and Himachal, don’t worry, you can still have all the fun in your city. Snow City, an amusement center at the Fun World Complex at JC Nagar in Bengaluru is here to entertain you. Namma Bengaluru is (in reality was) a Garden City, Silicon City and soon could be referred to as a Snow City.

Snow-City

The Snow City features overwhelming 33-foot snow area spread over a massive 12,500 square feet at the fun world complex located in the J. C. Nagar. Snow City Bangalore serves a plenty of fun activities including climbing a snow mountain, snow sliding, making snowballs and dancing in the snow park. You can enjoy and laugh to your heart’s content by hurling snowballs at others’ faces. Else, you can take part in snow zorbing. The best part of this park is that the snow keeps falling and you can experience the numbing cold during the snowfall.

The entire area is filled with snow made of filtered drinking water and air. The temperature in the snow area is kept between -5 ºC and -10 ºC to ensure that it does not change to water to vapor. Snow machines pump 5,000 liters of filtered water which later becomes about 10 cubic feet of snow. The snow prepared is free of chemicals and safe for consumption.

Entry fee to Snow City is a little expensive. During weekdays it would cost Rs.400/-, which rises on the weekends to Rs.500/-, so it is better to visit on a weekday as it wouldn’t be very crowded. However, the show duration is only 45 minutes which is a little disappointing for those who want to play in the snow for a longer time. Visitors would be provided with all the protective gears and subjected to different temperatures to avert body shock. It also has a ‘chai stand’ inside where you can get tea/coffee and warm soup, it is superb in the middle of the cold chilly atmosphere.

The snow gun can be used for 10-15 min in the 45 min interval. At the last 20 min, they will play music for a snowy disco, where you can shake yourself in the DJ, which is amazing and can have lots of fun with family and friends. Overall it is nice fun to experience snow in the heart of Bengaluru city. If you want to experience snow, then this is the best option. Although the artificial snow won’t create those goosebumps but still if you go with a group of people it will indeed give you immense fun and pleasure.
