Lumbini Gardens is the best place to hang out on weekends. If you’re in Bengaluru, this is the place for boating. Lumbini Garden in Hebbal is situated on the Outer Ring Road in Bengaluru on the banks of Nagawara Lake. This park is a place to unwind, to enjoy the beauty of nature and also a best joyful place for kids. An entertainment park for the young and the old and also for those in-between.

Lumbini Gardens, situated on the banks of the Nagawara Lake, are among the most visited tourist destinations in Bangalore. This leisure and eco-friendly boating park sprawls over 1.5 km along the lake and offers numerous entertainment activities to visitors. It has a 12500 square foot artificial beach and a children’s pool which is quite popular especially in summer. Lumbini Garden is a decent idea for a picnic in Bangalore with its waterfront, amusement rides and food court. Lumbini Garden is open from 11am-7pm every day. There is an entry ticket of Rs 30 for everyone over 3.

The garden houses a rose nursery with variegated flowers, herbs and aromatic plants. Visitors can enjoy strolling along the lake on well-groomed lawns and aromatic garden. Travelers can choose from activities such as Pedal Boating, Pleasure Boating, Kiddy Rides, Spanish Bull Riding and Trampoline Bungee Jumping.

This is a great location, nice open space alongside the Nagawara lake near Hebbal. The biggest attraction at Lumbini Garden is Nagawara Lake. A leisurely ride in a Coffee Boat across the Lake is great fun at Lumbini Garden. Young energetic folks can enjoy the Scenery and awesome weather on the lake while going on Pedel Boating.

Kids amusement section has dozen of rides for kids. Lumbini Garden promises you an entertainment without burning a hole in your pocket. Each kid rides costs Rs.20 lasts a few minutes.

There are many well-crafted sculptures all over the walking path inside the Gardens. A pair of Crocodiles looks very realistic and is a big hit with the photographers.

One thing that Bangalore always missed was the beach. Fulfilling this need is going to be the artificial beach consisting of a big pool. A wave pool in an area of 12,500 sq. ft attracts visitors of all ages. You can take a dip here and enjoy the waves though they aren’t huge. The pool water is well maintained using the modern filtration plant. Owing to safety reasons, a team of lifeguard keep a vigil in the garden. Furthermore, for entertainment of the visitors, an artificial beach has been designed at the lakeside. It gets pretty crowded during the summer, Bangaloreans head towards this park to beat the heat.

Other exciting rides are the Pirate Ship and Break Dance which will get you giddy, but kids love it. Spanish Bull Ride, Twirling Vortex and Trampoline bungee are the other popular attractions in Lumbini Gardens. Merry go rounds in all shapes and sizes are a big hit with kids. There is a park area further left of the lake where you can relax watching the lake. Food stalls are available but there aren’t too many options and the quality is also not much to speak about. If you are really hungry the safest option is to order the ‘Plain Dosa’.

The greenery of the park, the magnificent carved statues, the sunset, the calming effect of the water and the waves and above all a place worth your money. A decent place to chill with our family and loved ones. And also a fantastic place to de-stress in the hustle bustle of Bengaluru.
