According to the information provided by Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister M Srinivasa Rao, it has been reported that around 10 MLAs (Member of Legislative Assembly) from TDP (Telugu Desam Party) are willing to join YSRCP (Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party).
Speaking to the media in Visakhapatnam on Thursday, the minister told that as soon as Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy accepts these 10 MLAs to join his party, the party will see the induction of new members.
Recently in June, Four Rajya Sabha MP’s of Telugu Desam Party joined the Bhartiya Janta Party which left Chandrababu Naidu‘s party in shambles. The four defected MLAs were Y Sujana Chowdhury, TG Venkatesh, CM Ramesh, and Garikapati Rammohan Rao.
In such times, shifting of allegiance by 10 more MLAs from TDP will create more troubles for the ex-chief minister Chandrababu Naidu.
From here, M Srinivasa Rao also took a hit at Chandrababu Naidu’s comments on recent floods. Former Chief Minister had called the current situation of Andhra Pradesh is the consequence of “artificial flood”. Slamming his comments, Rao called him for sending such artificial floods to the regions of Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam. These regions are facing problems of water-scarcity and rain issues.
On being asked about the allegation of Jagan Mohan Reddy resorting to personal revenge by BJP Rajya Sabha MP Srujuna Chaudhary, the minister responded that the BJP leader is hurling baseless allegations of Jagan Mohan Reddy conspiring against Chandrababu Naidu.
