Around 17,000 security forces which altogether makes 124 companies will be deployed in the four Maoist affected parliamentary Constituencies of the Bihar. The four constituencies are Aurangabad, Gaya, Nawada, and Jamui Lok Sabha Seats. The proposal for the same was sent by the Bihar State government to the Union Home Ministry which has given its green signal.

Insiders within the Bihar State police headquarters revealed that out of the total 124 companies getting deployed across the four parliamentary constituencies of the state, 36 companies are of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), 7 companies of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) 32 companies are of Sashatra Seema Bal (SSB), and 20 companies of India India Reserve Battalion (IRB).

While many companies will be from RPF, ITBP, BSF, and others.

The Bihar State government has requested the Home Ministry to give at least 185 companies for the 4 Maoist affected areas.

All four parliamentary constituencies – Nawada, Jamui, Gaya, and Aurangabad will go to polls in the first round of Polling on April 11.

A total of 70.73 lakh electorates will cast their votes in the first phase of elections that slated for April 11. These four are the only parliamentary seats going to poll on the first round. The remaining 36 Lok Sabha Seats will go to polls in next six phases.

In Nawada, the poll body has set up a total of 1899 Polling stations. The Parliamentary Constituency has a total of 18.92 lakh voters.

In Jamui, the poll body has set up a total of 1850 Polling stations. The Parliamentary Constituency has a total of 17.09 lakh voters.

While In Aurangabad and Gaya, the poll body has set up a total of 1965 and 1772 Polling stations respectively. Both the Parliamentary Constituencies has a total of 17.37 lakh and 16.98 lakh voters.

All 40 seats of Bihar will go to polls in all 7 phases. 4 Lok Sabha Seats will go to polls on April 11, 5 seats on April 18, 5 Parliamentary Seats on April 23, 5 seats on April 29, a lone seat on the fifth phase on May 6. While 8 seats each will go to polls on May 12 and May 29.

Sources in the Chief Electoral Officer of Bihar further revealed that al the 124 companies will be there in the state for all 7 rounds till May 19. They said that for four Maoist affected seats, security will be done in such a manner as polling stations in rural and interior areas would have more deployment.
