With 10 days to go for the first phase of Bihar polls, state Chief Minister Nitish Kumar along with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will kick start the campaign in the state today In Gaya. The party’s other leaders like Amit Shah, Yogi Adityanath including home minister Rajnath Singh will campaign in the state for the general elections 2019.

The BJP headquarters said that the Prime Minister will be addressing a rally in the afternoon at Jamui where he will be joined by the party’s national General Secretary in-charge for the State Bhupendra Yadav and State President Nityanand Rai, to begin with, the campaigning in the state.

The rally will be followed by another campaigning in Gaya later in the evening with prominent ministers including the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan and Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi among the other leaders of the party.

Bihar has the Congress-RJD mahagathbandhan and the alliance is fielding former chief minister of the state and NAM chief, Jitan Ram Manjhi against the NDA candidate Vijay Kumar Manjhi, former MP Bhagwati Devi’s son.

RJD leader, Tejashwi, Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son, has been addressing the rally since last week. Rahul Gandhi will soon address the rally in the state ahead of the Lok Sabha Polls.

According to the grand alliance of CongressRJD, RJD will contest on 20 seats and Congress will contest on 9 seats with other regional parties contesting on the remaining seats.

BJP and JD-U will contest on 17 seats each leaving 6 seats for the Lok Jantatntrik Party(LJP).

The BJP has won the Gaya seat in 2014. In 2019, with the support of JD-U, they have a different seat sharing formula according to the NDA. In the 2014 general election, JD-U has contested separately.
