Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, the 24th February, in his 53rd edition of Mann Ki Baat, the monthly show in which the PM conveys his thoughts, expressed his utter grief on the recent ‘Pulwama Massacre’.

He initiated the episode by conveying ‘Namaskar’ to the countrymen.

PM Narendra Modi conveyed his condolences for the families of the ‘martyred’ soldiers and their families in Pulwama Attack. He also said that their supreme sacrifice will inspire the countrymen to demolish terrorism. Talking of the emotional reaction by the people of the country , after the attack, he said we must tackle the situation forgetting the differences in caste, creed and others.

He also praised the brave efforts by the forces within 100 hours of the attack in a response to provide the enemies an ‘answer in their words’. Clearly the PM is pointing towards the elimination of 3 militants, by the Indian Army. The said militants were associated with the Pulwama attack.4 brave soldiers of our security force also lost their lives in the encounter with the assailants.

Mentioning about the emotions of the families of the sacrificed soldiers, he urged the youth to take lesson of ‘patriotism’ and ‘sacrifice’ from them.

PM in his 53rd episode of Mann ki Baat mentioned the opening of War Memorial in delhi on 25the February. PM provide most of the details of the War Memorial in his show.He also said that the contribution of soldiers in nation building cannot be expressed in words.

PM in his thought conveying episode of MKB also mentioned about the contribution by Birsa Munda and Jamshed ji Tata in nation building. He said the Birsa Munda, with his bow and arrow made the British tremble and he fought for the rights of ‘adivasis’.

He further adde that people from every corner of the country sacrificed their lives in the freedom fight.

PM Narendra Modi took some time to praise the former PM, Morarji Desai. He said that Morarji Desai presented the largest budget during his tenure. Also spoke about the efforts Morarji Desai demonstrated during the Emergency Period.

As said by PM Narendra Modi, Morarji Desai constantly raised his voice against the Emergency imposed by the, then government and as a result faced torture. His efforts resulted in the repair of our constitution in the 44th constitution amendment, which was modified by the, then government in power during the 42nd constitution amendment, he added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also mentioned about the Padmashri awards this year and further spoke about the Ayushman Bharat yojana, which according to him benefitted more than 12 lakh poor families.

He also mentioned about the ‘Shivratri’  to come, amongst various other things that he spoke in the episode of MKB.

Prime Minister conclude his ‘talk’ by saying that the next episode of Mann ki Baat will be aired in the month of May i.e. after the elections . Which is undoubtedly demonstrating his belief that he”ll be the PM once again
