Giving hint towards another failed alliance talks with Congress, Aam Aadmi Party‘s West Delhi candidate, Balbir Singh Jakhar on Thursday filed nomination for the mega battle of ballots. Jakhar on the Occasion was accompanied by AAP leader Gopal Rai.

Jakhar who has been in the party since its inception has named by the party for West Delhi seat on March 18.

Speaking on the alliance to the media on the Occasion, Party senior leader Gopal Rai said, ‘We had made one last effort, Sanjay Singh ji held talks, but can’t understand that after almost finalizing the matter and seat sharing why the Congress stepped back last evening’.

He further stressed the party’s demand for Full Statehood. Revealing the details, Gopal Rai said, ‘Balbir Singh Jakhar has filed his nominations today’. In the coming days, all remaining 6 candidates will file their candidates’ he added.

AAP’s candidates of East Delhi Atishi, Northwest Gugan Singh and Pankaj Gupta from Chandni Chowk will file its nominations on Sunday, said Gopal Rai. While others will file on Monday.

With this development, AAP and Congress who have been in flip-flop situation for months are expected to go on its own.

While Congress State In-Charge PC Chacko blamed AAP for backtracking on the issue of the alliance in the national capital. Talking to news wire ANI, Chacko said, ‘I have held discussions with Sanjay Singh on 4:3 Seat sharing formula, but then he started talking about other states.

The main reason that once again stalled the alliance talks is that Congress does not want to extend alliance outside Delhi while AAP wants alliance in Haryana and Chandigarh too.

The recent development day came days after AAP appointed Sanjay Singh to held alliance Talks with Congress. Singh had on Wednesday met Ghulam Nabi Azad.

Congress President breaking his silence for the first time on Monday said that party is ready to give 4 seats to AAP in the National Capital. However, He trades barbs on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for taking a ‘U-Turn’.

Delhi for all 7 Lok Sabha Seats will go to polls on May 12. The last day to file nomination in the national capital is April 23.

AAP in a run-up to the mega polls has already announced its candidates on all 7 seats in Delhi. While BJP and INC are yet to declare its candidates in Delhi.
