Lok Sabha Polls 2019: AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal to hold Roadshows in Delhi from May 1

Aam Aamdi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal will begin his roadshows in the national capital from May 1 to galvanise support for the party candidates, told party leader Gopal Rai addressing a press. Arvind Kejriwal will lead roadshows as a part of party third phase of campaigns.

The Delhi ruling party in a run-up to the national elections in its initial phases of campaigning held public meetings, and door-to-door campaigns mostly focussing on the issue of Delhi Statehood.

Revealing the details of AAP’s third phase of the campaign, party senior leader Gopal Rai said at this moment, we are very much ahead of the other two parties – Congress and BJP – in the national capital.

AAP National Chief Arvind Kejriwal earlier in the day held a review meetings with MP Candidates, MLAs and District In-Charges and seek their feedback. Talking about the meet Gopal Rai party workers in the coming days will hold ‘padyatras’ and small meetings across the national capital, while MP Candidate will hold mega roadshows and public meetings.

He further added that party’s star campaigners will hold meetings and rallies in different parts of the city while Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will do roadshows from May 1.

While TDP Chief and Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee is also expected to come to the national capital to campaign for the party. It should be noted that Arvind Kejriwal visited Andhra Pradesh to seek votes for CM Naidu who is seeking another term from the Andhra Pradesh.

While AAP in a run-up to the national elections had on Thursday released its manifesto focusing on the full statehood to Delhi. AAP in the national capital will take on Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party. AAP is also expected to release constituency wise manifesto too.

AAP is contesting all 7 seats in the national capital. The party has named Atishi Marlena from Delhi East, Raghav Chaddha from Delhi South, among others for the mega battle of ballots.

Lok Sabha Polls 2019 has already begun and would spread on Seven Phases starting from April 11 to May 19. Counting of Votes and Results for the mega Battle of ballots will be announced on May 23.

All 7 parliamentary seats of Delhi will vote on May 12.
