The Aam Aadmi Party who has forged an alliance with Dushyant Chautala’s JJP in Haryana for the Lok Sabha Polls 2019 has on Sunday announced its candidate on three seats allotted to it in a poll pact. The party has named its candidates on Faridabad, Karnal and Ambala Parliamentary seats.

The Delhi ruling party has named its Haryana State Chief Naveen Jaihind from Faridabad Lok Sabha Seat. While former Himachal Pradesh Director-General of Police (DGP) Prithvi Raj has been named by the party from Ambala Lok Sabha Seat; and advocate Krishan Kumar Agarwal from Karnal.

The announcement was made during a joint press of both the party held by AAP’s Gopal Rai and JJP’s Dushyant Chautala. Both the parties have announced its poll tie-up last week with Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) contesting on 7 seats while 3 seats have been offered to Delhi ruling party. Under the poll pact, AAP has been offered to contest the Lok Sabha Seats of Faridabad, Karnal and Ambala (reserved).

JJP in a run-up to the mega polls has announced its candidates of 4 parliamentary seat. The Jannayak Janata Party in the first list announced nominees on Hisar, Rohtak, Sirsa and Bhiwani-Mahendragarh Parliamentary Seats.

AAP announced its nominees for Haryana days after a fresh round of deliberation between AAP and Congress stuck off with Congress not in favour to extend the Alliance outside Delhi. While AAP wants alliance in Haryana and Chandigarh too.

Speaking on the alliance with Congress, AAP’s Gopal Rai said Congress has last moment backed out of the alliance talks, though we were in favour of the alliance in Haryana, Delhi and Chandigarh.

AAP-JJP combine will be taking on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), INLD and Congress. The Bahujan Samaj Party along with its ally has also named its Candidates in the state.

Haryana has a total of 10 Parliamentary seats and is considered a state where BJP has a stronghold. In 2014 General Elections, banking of heavy Modi wave, BJP won 7, INLD bagged 2 seats while INC won a single seat.

Haryana will vote on May 12 in a single phase to elect new parliamentarians on all 10 seats of the state.

The Last date to file nomination is April 23.
