After to failing to forge an alliance with Congress in Delhi and Haryana, the Delhi ruling  Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday held parleys with Dushyant Chautala’s Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) to discuss a possible poll tie-up in Haryana for the Lok Sabha elections. Sources claimed that both the parties have also discussed the seat-sharing arrangement for 10 Parliamentary Seats of Haryana.

Sources familiar claimed that the Delhi ruling party is eyeing 4 seats of the state and has put forward the same proposal of 4:6 formula in front of JJP. However, Haryana based Jannayak Janata Party is willing to offer 3 seats out of the total 10 seats of the state.

It should be noted that AAP had backed JJP’s Candidate during Jind by-polls early this year.

The Constituencies that AAP wants in a poll tie-up includes Faridabad, Gurgaon, Karnal and Ambala. All four parliamentary seats have a sizeable vote from the Muslim Community and have a mixed population from various castes.

The party held talks with JJP after a fresh round of deliberation between AAP and Congress stuck off. Party Insiders claimed the Congress don’t want to go with AAP after the Delhi ruling party said no to Congress demand for three seats in national capital out of the seven parliamentary seats.

Earlier Arvind Kejriwal while speaking to a TV Channel said that he wants Congress in Haryana to defeat BJP. Kejriwal said an alliance of AAP along Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) and Congress will easily defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party in Haryana’s 10 Lok Sabha Seat.

While Indian National Congress has also decided to finalize the names of its Candidates in Haryana and Delhi for Lok Sabha Polls 2019, said party sources.

AAP in a run-up the general elections have already announced its candidates on all 7 seats of the national capital after alliance talks a fail alliance talk with Congress. AAP has also announced in UP, Bihar and Punjab for the mega battle of ballots.

Haryana has a total of 10 Parliamentary seats and is considered a state where BJP has a stronghold. In 2014 General Elections, banking of heavy Modi wave, BJP won 7, INLD bagged 2 seats while INC won a single seat.

Haryana will vote on May 12 in a single phase to elect new parliamentarians on all 10 seats of the state.
