Delhi‘s Social Welfare Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam on Monday reviewed pending projects of his department and issued direction for speeding up the work. The Minister directed to put the work at priority and complete it within the stipulated time.

The Officials presented a comprehensive powerpoint presentation to the Minister for the Lampur project. Minister asked officials to submit the estimates within the next 10 days.

The renovation of a beggar home at Lampur is currently stuck with PWD Department. The project aimed to decongest the Asha Kiran Complex for mentally-disabled persons.

‘Chaired a meeting regarding pending projects of SW Dept. Discussed detailed building plan with PWD & asked to submit the estimate by next few days so that it gets approval soon and the project would be initiated’, tweeted AAP Lawmaker Rajendra Pal Gautam.

According to an official release, ‘The department will give its nod to the project once it gets the finance approval’. It further added that The process of tendering will take place very soon.

It further said that Pending projects including the construction of “old-age homes’ in Sector 4, Rohini have been discussed in detail. All Officials and agencies have assured that all formalities and paperwork will be completed within next 15 days.

It should be noted that the Delhi ruling party, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), days after facing a humiliating victory in the national polls, has intensified its mission ‘Delhi’. AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal has clearly directed all the MLAs to reach out to their constituencies and ensure to complete every pending work on time.

Party had contested the polls on almost 40 seats across 9 states and UTs. However, only its candidate from Sangrur in Punjab, Bhagwant Mann, could win.

The bigger embarrassment for the party is its humiliating defeat in the national capital where it had in 2015 Assembly polls won 67 seats in 70 member assembly. Results of national polls came to AAP as a big setback who lost all 7 Lok Sabha Seats in the national capital. The party slips to the third spot in 5 seats while 3 of its candidate in the national capital lost their deposits.

Delhi State Polls are slated for January-February next year and AAP is leaving no stone unturned to storm back to power.
