Congress leader Ghanendra Bharadwaj joined Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi on Friday. Several other party members have been also reported to follow his step, joining the AAP party. The joining process took place in the presence of Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Durgesh Pathak.

Ghanendra Bharadwaj has actively worked with Congress for 25 years, therefore his shift may tilt the balance in upcoming Delhi elections. He further said that AAP will win all 70 seats in the next upcoming elections. In the last assembly elections of Delhi held in 2015, AAP won 67 seats out of total 70 seats, sliding through a major victory in the capital.

Along with him, other Congress activists like Manoj Gupta, Dhiraj Sharma, Vinod Gupta, and Virendra Bhardwaj are also reported to have joined Aam Aadmi Party.

In another event, District Secretary of Congress party Haji Taj Mohammad also joined AAP party under the light of Arvind Kejriwal’s impressive work. Haji Taj Mohammad has also been a member of the Haj committee. He joined AAP membership in presence of Gopal Rai. Haji Taj Mohammad vowed to serve citizens of Delhi under the guidance of AAP and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. National spokesperson of AAP Dilip Pandey was also present in the meeting.

In the press event, Ghanendra Bharadwaj heavily praised the works of the Arvind Kejriwal government. He described his governance method as an unparalleled model in the country. He also lauded Delhi Chief Minister’s efforts to improving education, healthcare, and women security.

In recent months, AAP Party has seen joining of many political stalwarts from various political parties. Outgoing of various party leaders can be seen as a setback to Congress party which is already trying to gain its ground after an embarrassing defeat in Lok Sabha elections of 2019.
