Hours after Punjab Lawmaker and AAP rebel Sukhpal Singh Khaira resigned from the primary membership of the party, senior leader and Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia racked him and said he should also quit from the position of MLA as well which he won on AAP ticket. Delhi Deputy CM Sisodia added that the Khair’s exit will only strengthen the party in the state.

He added, “@ArvindKejriwal ji always says that those who have come for position or power shuld leave the party. He was always clamouring for position and power.”

Sukhpal Singh Khaira who was suspended from AAP in November last year for alleged “anti-party activities” and for “continuously attacking central and state leadership”. He is reportedly launching his new Political Outfit on Jan 8 in Chandigarh.

Last month, he had announced the formation of the party with Lok Insaaf Party, Bahujan Samaj Party, suspended AAP MP Dr. Dharamvir Gandhi and other ‘like-minded parties’ in the state. Khaira resigned after calling Delhi CM and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal as one with a “dictatorial attitude”.

A day before, Senior Lawyer and AAP Punjab Leader HS Phoolka also announced his disassociation from the AAP. Senior Advocate  HS Phoolka asserted that the move to convert the anti-corruption movement into a Political Party was ‘wrong’ he said while addressing a Press Conference in New Delhi after a day of quitting party.

However, as per reports, he was upset with the AAP Leadership over the controversy in connection to an amendment that suggested withdrawing the Bharat Ratna of late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi for his purported failure in controlling the violence during 1984 riots. Manish Sisodia clarifies AAP fiasco, says Alka Lamba not resigning; No mention of Rajiv Gandhi in original resolution.
