Aam Aadmi Party Nominee from Delhi South Lok Sabha Seat Raghav Chaddha on Wednesday said that he will approach the Delhi High Court against the decision of Returning Officer for accepting the nominations of Bharatiya Janata Party Candidate and Sitting MP Ramesh Bidhuri.

The Delhi Ruling party, AAP has said that it will approach Delhi HC against the returning officer for ignoring the discrepancies in the nomination form of BJP Candidate from Delhi South. Raghav Chaddha had raised an objection of nomination forms saying that the sitting MP has not disclosed many important facts in the form – one of such is a pending FIR against him.

‘I will be moving the Delhi High Court against wrongful acceptance of nomination papers of BJP’s South Delhi Candidate, Ramesh Bidhuri, by the Returning Officer. Mr.Bidhuri has concealed crucial information including pending criminal cases against him’ said AAP Nominee from South Delhi Raghav Chaddha in a tweet.

Chaddha in the tweet also attached the copy of the reply filed by Ramesh Bidhuri in the matter.

Raghav while quoting the reply of BJP nominee further said, ‘Here comes an acknowledgement of guilt and concealment. This is a textbook case for rejection of his candidature for willful concealment of a criminal case. Will move Delhi HC immediately.’.

Bharatiya Janata Party MP candidate from South Delhi Ramesh Bidhuri in his reply to Returning Officer on objections raised over his nomination affidavit, stated,’ At time of filing of nomination had no knowledge of registration of FIR against me, Will comply with EC norm to the intimate public through media’.

AAP has alleged BJP nominee of failing to disclose particulars of pending criminal proceedings in Bihar’s Muzaffarnagar under Section of IPC 504, 506, 153 and 153(A).

The party has also alleged him of hiding annual income in the nomination form. W

While In another development, The Poll Officer on Wednesday rejected the claims and objections raised by Aam Aadmi Party’s Atishi and Congress on the ‘shortcomings’ on the nomination forms of BJP Candidate from East Delhi Gautam Gambhir.

Lok Sabha Polls 2019 has already begun and would spread on Seven Phases starting from April 11 to May 19. Counting of Votes and Results for the mega Battle of ballots will be announced on May 23.

BJP in Delhi will be taking on Aam Aadmi Party and Congress. All 7 seats of Delhi will vote on May 12.

A total of 439 nominations have been filed for 7 Parliamentary Seats of the national capital. Tuesday was the last date to file nomination for May 12 polls. North East Delhi has received the highest number of nominations accounting to a total of 74 whereas North West Delhi has received only 39 nominations.
