Differences in Congress has proven to be beneficial for BJP in Gujrat.  BJP is not facing any powerful opposition in Gujarat as there is an ongoing scrimmage between Congress leaders for ascendancy within the party state unit. Congress has yet not given its candidature for the next Rajya Sabha term. The fight between Bharat Sinh Solanki and Shanker Sinh Vaghela has worsened the situation as they both are the Kshatriya leaders and hold the core vote bank of Congress. Rahul Gandhi‘s support is awaited by both of them.

BJP Cheif, Amit Shah is taking the next assembly elections seriously and has decided to Visit Gujarat twice in the upcoming 10 days to meet party cadre and take stock of the preparations. His first visit will take place on 7th July and the second one on 11th July and there he will address thousands of Panna Pramukhs.  PM Modi will remain the face of the party in the poll and this is surely not a matter to worry for BJP. It is moreover a matter of prestige for BJP to keep the 2012 election tally of 115 seats in the 182-member Assembly intact. Amit Sah wants to strengthen BJP by increasing it to 150 seats. BJP has only 61 seats and Congress leader, Ahmed Patel needs 44 seats for this poll.
Water scarcity has always been an issue in Gujarat which was building some dissensions against BJP but this time BJP is lucky enough to have a good monsoon this year which actually created a flood like situation in Saurashtra.

BJP is happy to reach the zenith much before the Assembly polls. Amit Shah is also trying to woo the tribal voters.
