In an address to the Bharatiya Janata Party MPs, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked for activeness on social media. He asked them to make sure that they have at least 3 lakh followers on their official Twitter accounts. In the BJP’s Parliamentary meeting, the MPs were also told to make sure that they expose to people the lies of the opposition parties. Opposition parties have brought the working of Parliament at a halt from three weeks over a range of issues.

On social media and party awareness

HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar quoted the PM while talking to the reporters.  He said, “Use technology optimally and let people know about the reality. The message should reach the common people about the desperate opposition resorting to canards and lies against the government.”

The MPs were told of the importance of social media with the help of a presentation. This was to make them understand the importance of connecting with voters online and making them aware of all the government achievement since 2014.

Party president Amit Shah told the MPs to hold press conferences in their constituencies. He also asked them totell people why the Parliament is continuously disrupted.

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said, “Amit ji said all MPs of the party must visit their respective constituencies on this Saturday, Sunday and Monday, and explain to people through programmes and press conferences that who is disrupting Parliament session and why are they doing it.”
