The opposition front which is coming about to pose an opposing front to BJP and its alliances in the 2019 polls were ridiculed by Yogi Adityanath who claimed that they were merely ganging up to bring about ‘political instability’. The chief minister said the people were hopeful that a grand Ram temple will be built in Ayodhya in the state and “Lord Ram will decide its date”.

“The opposition is worried that the BJP is gaining from strength to strength. They are opposed to development and have been ganging up to join hands with the only aim to take on the saffron party,”  he stated at a media event.

Claiming that the opposition cannot formulate a strong strategy or plan to oppose the BJP party and that their singular aim is to ‘dislodge’ the party from power and that they cannot project any strong leader to face them in the upcoming elections. He further went on to add,

“The BJP will again come to power at the Centre and under the able leadership of the prime minister, we will put up a grand show in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections,”

Mentioning about the Ayodhya issue, the CM  of Up declared that the people were hopeful that again a grand Ram Temple will build in Ayodhya in the state. Further elaborating on caste-based issues which he addressed that him and his party doesn’t believe in playing the caste card and having vote banks as the agenda of the party is not to do vote-bank politics but to look into the welfare of people without any form of discrimination or denial of rights merely on the basis of a caste identity.

In opposition, UPCC Raj Babbar countered the attacks of Adityanath by stating that: “The issue will be decided at a later stage. It is for the people to decide, the country will decide. But, one thing is for certain that if the Congress heads the alliance, it will be our party chief Rahul Gandhi who will head it.”
