The AIADMK approached Election Commission stating the violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) by DMK president MK Stalin.

AIADMK put out a notice against the DMK president AK Stalin mentioning the violation of the Model Code of Conduct by him. AIADMK also filed complaint against Chief Electoral Officer Satyabrata Sahoo against Kamal Hassan for an advertisement put up by him.

“The intention of Stalin is to canvas indirectly by way of addressing the press, which is against and violation of the Election code of conduct/rules,” the complaint filed by AIADMK said. The complaint asked the issuance of show cause notice for violating MCC.”

The party had said that MK Stalin was putting out false statements against the state and central government. The party asked action to be taken against Stalin for violating the Representation of People Act.Similarly the party has also asked the EC to take action against Dayanidhi Maran, candidate from Chennai Central.

Earlier MK Stalin had called the AIADMK-BJP alliance ‘inefficient’. “Modi-Edappadi alliance is an inefficient alliance. The same Modi brought GST promising that the rates of the essential commodities will be brought down. All of you know the rate of petrol, diesel, LPG, and vegetables which have escalated under this government’s watch,” he said.

“Traders lost their trade due to the GST implemented by this government. Shall we vote for such an inefficient alliance… These are the same people who refused to give more 6 feet land to Kalaignar Karunanaidhi when he passed away. I seek your support to defeat them in the eelctions,” he added.
