All set in Varanasi for PM Narendra Modi’s visit; Namo to thank voters for second term

The Kashi city – Varanasi is all set to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is slated to visit his Lok Sabha Constituency on Monday. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had on Sunday reviewed preparations with the local administration for PM Modi’s visit.

The area is decorated with BJP flags and wall paintings of Budha and other spiritual idols. A led screen has also been installed at the entrance of Kashi Vishwanath Mandir which will telecast live visuals when PM Narendra Modi will offer prayers.

PM Modi who slated to visit Kashi will hold a 5 Kilometre Roadshow to celebrate his and party’s massive victory in the recently held national polls. After roadshow and darshan in Kashi Vishwanath Temple, PM Narendra Modi will address party workers at Deendayal Hastkala Sankul.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi won the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat with a huge margin of 4.70 lakh votes by defeating Shalini Yadav of Samajwadi party. He had held a massive roadshow in Varanasi last month during his nominations.

‘I will be in Kashi to thank the people of this great land for reposing their faith in me’, he said in a tweet on Saturday.

On Friday, five legislators of Varanasi district, two MLCs and District President of BJP Varanasi had visited the Prime Minister to deliver a certificate of his victory.

The Bharatiya Janata Party in the recently concluded national polls has secured 303 seats, 22 more than it got in 2014. While BJP along with its allies, the NDA secured 352 seats.

The Congress won 52 seats in the recently held polls, which is only 8 more than it got in 2014 national polls. It has also lost some of its strongholds across the country including Rahul Gandhi’s Amethi in Uttar Pradesh and Jyotiraditya Scindia‘s Guna in Madhya Pradesh.
