Governor of Uttar Pradesh Ram Naik had written a letter to CM Yogi Adityanath, on 26 April with regard to the allegations made by Congress leader of Rampur Faisal Khan Lala against former minister Azam Khan. He informed the CM about the charges of encroachment of WAQF and government property and misuse of government funds by former minister Azam Khan. He also mentioned that Lala, in his letter to him, informed about 14 allegations including one that Khan illegally displaced innocent people to encroach land in the name of Jauhar university in Rampur.
Yogi Adityanath in response to Governor’s letter replied that the department concerned will be taking appropriate action about allegation charged on former minister Azam Khan.
