Amit Shah instructs the BJP ministers of state to start visiting the districts to keep a check and guarantee the progress of the district and to ensure that work is being appropriately carried out in each of these districts. He said that it was necessary for the 2019 elections.

While addressing the office bearers of Maharashtra and Goa he made such statement. BJP MP’s have also been instructed to undertake campaigns in their constituencies about the centre’s schemes. He also clearly directed everyone present at the meeting that they must keep in mind that all should campaign for the Narendra Modi’s government in the 2019 polls. The ministers are expected to send reports to the State leadership. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has been given the responsibility to oversee the operations.

Previously, it was decided that the BJP MLA’s were tasked with the responsibility of their neighbouring constituency if that is not represented by the party.

Amit Shah has also instructed the social media strategy as well as held meetings with the party’s workers. Instructing the workers and party cadre Parmani stated that, “The party president said that every worker of the party should  dedicate 18 hours a day for the party for the next few months The party’s workers are full of energy and fully charged.”

“It is a message that says ‘prepare for contesting elections alone’ we will have to rush as the general elections are now less than a year away,” stated a senior BJP official on the recent tours which the President of the party is undertaking.

Mr. Shah also reviewed the BJP’s performance of 2014 polls, as Maharashtra is the second largest state in the country going by the number of Lok Sabha seats right after Uttar Pradesh. Of the total 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra, BJP had won 23, the Shiv Sena 18, the NCP 4, the Congress 2, and the Swabhimani Paksh, a former ally of the BJP, 1. The party hopes to keep a majority in the next election.
