BJP party President Amit Shah, ended his three-day visit to Kerala on Sunday. As BJP has started its election campaign, it is majorly trying to focus on the weaker states to gain power. During his visit he scornfully attacked the Left Parties and tried to arise support from all other parties to win the next Assembly Elections.

While laying a foundation stone for party’s state headquarters at Thiruvananthapuram, Shah said he was also laying the foundation stone for BJP’s rule in the state. He said that looking at the prevailing political condition of Kerala, it was difficult for a party like BJP to work. Inspite of this he said that BJP will come to power and has asked BJP leaders to work tirelessly.

During his visit with the representatives of the Church, it is assumed that NDAs base could be widened in the state. Shah in the meeting gave this impression indirectly that, parties who maintain distance from the Left Front and United Democratic Front can be included in the NDA. He has given the message that he will be satisfied only when BJP comes to power in Kerala. He even alleged that hat violence against BJP and Sangh Parivar members goes up whenever the Left parties come to power. Supporting his statement he pointed out that 13 BJP, RSS workers were killed and mostly in chief minister’s constituency in Kannur.

On the last day of his visit, Amit Shah had breakfast at a booth level worker’s house at Thiruvanathapuram, he spoke to the gathering of guest invited about the achievements of Modi government and its contribution in Kerala’s growth. He also discussed organisational issues with party leaders.

While Amit Shah was demonstrating the possibility of BJP coming to power in next election, CPI(M) state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan held totally opposite views. He said in Delhi that BJP was trying to create communal tensions in Kerala, but this strategy of theirs will not work. He also added that BJP was trying to convert Kerala into Gujarat. He further added that Kerala CM was trying to end political violence. Balakrishnan mockingly said that Amit shah was blaming the state BJP leadership for not achieving success in the state because he had realised that it was difficult for BJP to pave path for itself in Kerala politics.

IUML leader KPA Majeed alleged that communal tensions occur in places where Amit Shah visits.
