The BJP party president Amit Shah is on a three-day trip to Lucknow as part of his 110-day journey to all states of the country ahead of the General elections due in 2019.
Addressing a meeting of intellectuals in the presence of the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow, Shah termed Yogi as a very popular politician. He said that under the rule of Yogi Uttar Pradesh will surely see the double digit growth. He also attacked the previous government mockingly saying that during the rule of Samajwadi Party the transformer of UP was lying burnt and hence the people could not benefit from the schemes launched by the Central government for the betterment of the people. He further added that Yogi has repaired the burnt transformer and now after Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, UP will also be able to implement all the schemes of the centre for the welfare of the people.
During the meeting, Yogi also praised Amit Shah saying that he was the Chanakya of electoral strategy and is hailed worldwide for his aggressive political intelligence. He said that Shah has helped Yogi on many fronts to solve the problem in UP especially with the law and order conditions of the state.
