Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, party’s state chief Madan Lal Saini and others welcomed Amit Shah at the Sanganer airport. Shah was scheduled to visit Jaipur in June but the visit was postponed due to delay in appointment of state BJP president.

The President of the BJP is on an official tour to Jaipur, Rajasthan review the preparations of the 2019 polls. Elaborate arrangements were made to welcome the leader. Makeshift platforms were set up at Jawahar Circle, World Trade Park, Shiksha Sankul, Gandhi circle, JDA circle and Trimurti circle to welcome the BJP president whose caravan is being escorted by police.

“Amit Shah’s visit is expected to boost the morale of BJP cadres,” a BJP leader said.

Amit Shah had visited Jaipur last year in the month of July. He had tasked the leaders to strengthen the party’s booth-level organisation and implement the ‘vistarak’ scheme in which workers reach out to voters. However, soon after his visit, the party had lost in the two Lok Sabha by-elections and one Assembly by-election.

He is supposed to address the concluding session of the working committee meeting, which was inaugurated by party’s national general secretary Ram Lal. Shah will also take three organizational meetings and will also address the party’s social media team. After the evaluation of the review, he is to hold discussions on the party’s strategy for the coming assembly elections besides holding a meeting of the state executive at the BJP state headquarters.

“The strategy to win the next Assembly and the 2019 Lok Sabha elections will be discussed in the meeting tomorrow,” stated Madan Lal Saini.

Shah is scheduled to address the valedictory session of the party’s state executive committee meeting. Another meeting with the members of Rajasthan BJP core group and the party’s state election campaign committee will also take place.
