Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday will hold a meeting with other Bharatiya Janaya Party (BJP) leaders to discuss issues of Jammu and Kashmir.

Apart from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president, its working President JP Nadda, BJP general BL Santosh, Union Minister Jitendra Singh, among others are also called for the meeting.

While party general secretary in charge of the State Ram Madhav and the State unit office-bearers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected to attend the meeting of the core group called to discuss the issues related to Jammu and Kashmir.

The meeting is called by the saffron party to discuss the current political situation, amid reports that the Centre could be preparing to take even more strong steps after it deployed 10,000 paramilitary men to the valley.

While earlier in the day, BJP held its Parliamentary Board meeting and decided to host a two-day orientation program for all its Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs.

Yesterday, Union Minister Jitendra Singh slammed the political parties of Jammu and Kashmir, PDP and National Conference, for their comments on Article 35A and Article 370. Singh said both NC and PDP is losing peoples’ trust and mandate, hence making noise.

Speaking to reporters at the Parliament complex, Minister of State (MoS) Jitendra Singh said, ‘All the noises raised by political parties, including PDP, NC, is a clear indication that they are losing people’s mandate. They have been carrying forward their legacy with 8-10 percent voter turnout’.

‘The political parties fear that in case the scenario in the valley changes that it would be a big loss for the parties and their sovereignty which they had built in the last 30-40 years’, Singh told reporters.

His statement attack NC and PDP came a day after Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday asserted that her party will fight to save the identity of Kashmir. She further asserted that defending the legitimacy of the Article 35A and Article 370 will be the top priority of PDP.
