BJP President Amit Shah was on a three-day visit to Rajasthan, where he was greeted with a royal welcome at Jaipur.

Shah is on an all nation tour as a part of the agenda set for the election campaign for the polls due in 2019. BJP is all geared up and trying hard to gain the maximum support from the people in all states and for this Amit Shah has already visited many states and arrived at Jaipur on 21 July.

During his visit, he met Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, state BJP president Ashok Parnami, MPs, MLAs and other senior leaders of the party. He held meetings to listen to the problems faced by the party and also sought suggestion from the members of the party to further strengthen BJP’s position.

Briefing the reporters about the discussion held during the meeting, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rajendra Rathore said that several suggestions came up at the party president’s meeting and Shah has asked them to make the party stronger at booth level. He further added that suggestions came on a range of issues, including the problem of illegal Bangladeshis residing in parts of the country, ‘love jihad’ and the problem of NGOs allegedly involved in illegal activities.

Gyan Dev Ahuja, MLA from Ramgarh said that several NGOs across the country are involved in illegal activities and strong actions should be taken against these institutions. Several NGOs run by minority community people are involved in the conversion of Hindu girls and in promoting ‘love jihad,” he added. Dev appreciating Shah said that he gave a positive response to all the suggestions given and asked all the party members to work hard to strengthen the party’s position.

Amit Shah met the ‘Vistaraks'(full-time workers) and motivated them to work hard for the party. He had lunch at a party’s Dalit member, Ramesh Pacharia accompanied by Vasundhara Raje, Parnami, Union minister Rajyawardhan Rathore and MPs Bhupendra Yadav and Nihal Chand.

Social Justice Minister Arun Chaturvedi cleared that the reason to have lunch at Pacharia’s house was not because he was a Dalit, he was chosen because of his active work for the party. He further added that the media saw the ‘Dalit” factor as the reason for the lunch but for the party only his hard work was considerable and BJP did not believe in caste or class.
