Bharatiya Janata Party has rushed to cover the new controversy fielding the party. As per the report of IANS, Amit Shah allegedly made remarks about the building of Ram Temple in the Ayodhya in a party meeting in Hyderabad.

The report claimed that BJP chief announced to his party workers that steps will be taken to construct Ram Temple in Ayodhya before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. After the news spread,  BJP received flak from the opposition for making such a remark when the Ayodhya issue is under Supreme Court.

Asaduddin Owaisi tweeted that Shah is not entitled to make such a claim when the matter is with Supreme Court.

BJP cleared the stance through its Twitter page saying, “Yesterday in Telangana, BJP President Shri @AmitShah didn’t make any statement on the issue of Ram Mandir as being claimed in certain sections of the media. No such matter was even on the agenda.”

The party clarified that the chief did not promise such a thing. He only said that personally, he would like to build Ram Temple in Ayodhya soon. Earlier National Executive member of BJP, Perala Sekharjee addressed the media to brief about the party’s meeting in Telangana. He was allegedly quoting Shah when he said, “Considering the developments, I believe that construction of Ram temple will begin before the coming general elections.”

BJP denied any such claims to defend Shah.
