BJP releases its fourth list of candidates in Telangana

Ruling out Congress’s claim of anti-incumbency against the Shivraj led BJP Government in the state, most of the surveys predict victory for the ruling Bhartiya Janta party. Though the broadcast of any exit polls has been banned by the Election Commission till December 7 post polling hours, a recent opinion pre-poll survey conducted by English News Channel Times Now-CNX suggests the ruling party retaining its spots in the state which will go for polling on November 28.

According to the survey conducted by the TV channel, Bhartiya Janta Party has an upper hand in 128 seats thus crossing the 115 magic figure in the 230 seat assembly. While with slight improvement from the 2013 assembly results, Congress is on a lead on 85 seats against its tally of 58 seats in the last assembly polls.

While BSP is having a lead on Eight seats, suggests the survey.

Another poll conducted by Times Now along with CVoter also predicted results on the same line, with BJP bagging 126, Congress on 97 in the assembly of 230 seats.

It is interesting to see that despite many claims there is no drop in the popularity of CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and over 40 percent wants to see Shivraj again as the Chief Minister of the state over Congress’s Kamalnath or Jyotiraditya Scindia.

The results of the elections will be announced on December 11.
