Lalu prasad Yadav

RJD Chief has been long planning to launch a rally against BJP on Aug 27 with the slogan ‘BJP Bhagao, Desh Bachao’ in Bihar. Provoked by the recent raids and searches done on the premises and offices of Lalu Prasad Yadav, he is now more determined to carry forward the rally against BJP.

Lalu said that it has been 20 years that he was dealing with CBI raids and that he was not scared of such raids. The senior party leaders have ensured that the rally will be held at Patna at any cost and that the RJD is not going to be scared by the “political vendetta” of BJP. These comments come as Lalu will be facing the trials in the cases charged against him and if gets arrested, proven guilty, even then the rally will be conducted affirms the party members.

Chandrashekhar, RJD minister in Nitish Kumar government said that “Even if Lalu, Rabri and Tejashwi are arrested before the rally, we will carry on with our event. We will install their photographs at the rally venue and make our programme successful.”

Another RJD leader briefed about the preparation of the rally saying that RJD Chief himself reviews the preparation proceedings every month. He further added that all tasks have been distributed among the different wings of the party. He also informed that invitations have already been sent to leaders heading different Opposition parties, including Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and Bahujan Samaj Party president Mayawati.

However, the party from home is still on dicey grounds whether it will be attending the rally or not. Nitish Kumar had earlier in his statement said that JD(U) will attend the rally if the party gets a formal invitation, though this was before the recent turmoil in the Bihar’s Grand Alliance.
