Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Parliament and discussed various issues. In his meeting with Prime Minister, Delhi Chief Minister requested the Centre’s cooperation and sought to work together for the development of the national Capital.

He requested the Centre’s cooperation in various developmental projects and also discussed the Ayushman Bharat Scheme.

Speaking to media after meeting Prime Minister, AAP Boss and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said as quoted by ANI, ‘I congratulated Prime Minister on his victory in the Lok Sabha elections. I also told him that Delhi is the capital of the country, so it is important that Delhi & Centre work together for the development of Delhi’.

Taking to Twitter, Delhi CM said, ‘Met Sh ji n congratulated him for LS victory’.

Talking about the agendas discussed in the meeting, Kejriwal added in the tweet, ‘Del govt plans to store Yamuna water during the rainy season. One season’s water sufficient to meet one year’s Delhi’s water needs. Requested Centre’s support.

He also invited PM to visit a Mohalla clinic and Delhi Government Schools.

In another tweet, Delhi Chief Minister said ‘I Assured full cooperation of Delhi Government. He added, ‘to develop Delhi, the capital city of India, it is imp (important) that Del govt and Centre work together’.

In another tweet, Arvind Kejriwal said that Ayushman Bharat was briefly discussed in the meeting with Prime Minister.

‘Informed Hon’ble PM that Delhi Govt’s Delhi Health scheme is much bigger and wider in scope. However, assured him to examine if Ayushman Bharat scheme cud (could) also be integrated into our scheme’, he said in a series of tweet after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

However, Kejriwal said that the issue of Law and Order, the major issue of a tussle between Delhi and Cente, was not discussed in the meeting.

Kejriwal had on May 23 after BJP’s massive victory congratulated PM Modi. ‘I congratulate Sh Narendra Modi for this historic win and look forward to working together for the betterment of the people of Delhi’, he said on May 23.
