Atal Bihari Vajpayee dies at 93

Leaders all over the country gathered at the memorial of the first death anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Bhartiya Janta party members remembered their tallest leaders over the maiden death anniversary of nation’s former prime minister.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Bhartiya Janta Party’s national working president Jagat Prakash Nadda and other leaders of the party arrived in the early morning to pay their tributes to the leader.

Late leader’s daughter Namita Kaul Bhattacharya and granddaughter Niharika also showed up to pay tributes to former Prime Minister at ‘Sadaiv Atal’,

President Ram Nath Kovind showed his gracious tribute to the leader by his arrival. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid his ode to the leader.

Previously, at a general secretaries meeting of BJP, party president Amit Shah conveyed this decision to the party’s working president JP Nadda.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee led the National Democratic Alliance government from 1998-2004. He died on 16th August 2018 in New Delhi due to respiratory disease. The great leader has served India for 3 terms as Prime Minister, the first term being a brief of 13 days in 1996, then a second term for a period of 13 months from 1998 to 1999. He ultimately had his full term from 1999 to 2004. During his terms, He has been very instrumental in shaping India’s foreign policy and steering the county’s nuclear program. ‘Bus Diplomacy’ and ‘Pokhran test’ owes its success to Atal Vajpayee only.
