Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Bhartiya Janata Party aiming to repeat the same magic in Gujarat as they did in 2014 Lok Sabha. BJP in last Lok Sabha swept all 26 Lok Sabha seats in the coastal state of Gujarat. Though the party seems to be under pressure after its ‘poor show’ in the recently concluded assembly polls of the Hindi heartland states.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended two events in Gujarat last week while the party president, Amit Shah, met Hindu saints and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat in Rajkot.

While one of the two events of the Prime Minister was the 53rd conference of police chiefs which was completely apolitical, while the other was a pure political convention of the BJP’s Mahila Morcha.

PM Modi while speaking on the BJP Mahila Morcha convention highlighted the initiatives undertaken by its party at the centre state level. He asked Mahila workers to mobilize and reach out to first-time voters extensively with a slogan “Mera booth sabse majboot (My booth is the strongest)”. PM Modi also asked the workers to create awareness about the government schemes and policies.

PM Modi while addressing Police chiefs Conference talked about internal security of the country and said that cops should be vigilant in countering the dark forces of radicalization.

In the Meanwhile, BJP appointed Om Prakash Mathur as the Party’s in charge in the state to look after the electoral task in the state in a run-up to the Lok Sabha 2019.

While The Bhartiya Janta Party president Amit Shah met the sadhus and the RSS chief in Rajkot to discuss the Ram Temple issue and has reportedly assured them that the temple would be built in Ayodhya.
