BJP is the first party to comply with the Supreme Court’s order to shift out of the Luyten’s Bungalow area in Delhi. PM Modi on 18th February inaugurated BJP’s new headquarters. The new office is now located at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg in Delhi.

This is on the account of the Supreme Court’s directive to all parties. The parties were asked to move out of Luyten’s Bungalow Zone. The construction of the new office was completed within a year. BJP’s new office is a multi-storeyed modern building, it bears the latest communication technology. It was inaugurated by Modi in the presence of the party leaders. The inauguration was described by Amit Shah as making the dreams of party workers come true.

Modi said at the inauguration that forming a political party is not tough, he said that there were several parties with their own ideologies which contribute to the beauty of democracy in India. He looked back at the long way that BJP has come. He acknowledged the contributions of people like Deen Dayal Upadhyay and Dr Shyama Prasad Mookerjee. Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah laid the foundation stone of the party’s brand new headquarters in August 2016. Modi also commended Shah on completing the office in little over a year’s time.

The party will relocate to the new location within a week’s time. Modi also said that while the new office has been inaugurated, the party’s work area should be the country’s boundaries and the party workers should be its soul. BJP has not only set an example for the other parties but also set a target. But it really doesn’t matter where they work form as long as they are doing work in the best interests of the country. This might be a new stepping stone for a party steeped in Indian history.
