Hanuman Beniwal, a 46-year-old Jat leader from Rajasthan’s Nagaur who had floated his political party Rashtriya Loktantrik Party joined hands with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in a pre-poll pact in Rajasthan for the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls 2019.

Bharatiya Janata Party has offered a lone of Nagaur District to the Jaat Outfit in the state that sends 25 parliamentarians to the Lower House of the parliament.

RLP will contest on the seat while remaining 24 seats will be contested by the Centre ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in the state. RLP Chief Beniwal will contest the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls from the party on the lone seat of Nagaur which has been allotted to it under the poll pact.

Hanuman Beniwal, a former Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) Leader and a former President of the University of Rajasthan is an influential leader in Nagaur. He has floated his party last year in a run-up to the Rajasthan Assembly polls and contested on at least 58 seats in the state.

RLP Chief announced his poll tie-up with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in presence of Union Minister and Rajasthan In-charge Prakash Javadekar and State Chief Madan Lal Saini.

With the addition of a jat outfit in the Bharatiya Janata Party is expected to gain some momentum in the regions where jat plays an important Role. Political Observers believe that the addition of RLP with BJP will a plus point for the saffron party in Parliamentary Seats like Jaisalmer, Barmer, and Rajsamand.

Speaking to the media after the poll tie-up, Beniwal said he has taken a decision for a poll tie-up in the national interest, as the party was under pressure from his supporters after the Pulwama Terror Attack of February 14.

He added that all the RLP workers and supporters will back the saffron party not in Rajasthan, but in Delhi and Haryana too.

The addition of RLP to BJP is seen as a blow for Congress who was also eyeing to take it in its fold.

All the 25 parliamentary seats of Rajasthan will go to polls in two rounds of polling – April 29 and May 6.

Lok Sabha Polls are slated to begin from April 11 would spread on Seven Phases starting from April 11 to May 19.

Counting of Votes and Results for the mega Battle of ballots will be announced on May 23 four days after the 7th phase of voting.

In 2014 National Elections, BJP registered landslide victory and bagged all 25 seats of the state.
