Eyeing to gain big in South State Karnataka and outdo the Congress-Janta Dal (Secular), Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to host mega rallies in the state in a run-up to the general elections 2019. In its efforts to gain huge, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address six election rallies in Karnataka in next couple of days.

Informing about PM’s Schedule for the South State, BJP State General Secretary said PM will address six rallies including two on April 18. The 14 Lok Sabha Seats in the state will go to polls on the same day when PM Modi would be speaking at a rally.

PM Modi will begin his electoral campaign trail on Monday next week (April 8) with two polls rallies. Modi will address rallies at Chitradurga and Mysuru region, the stronghold of both INC and JD(S).

Prime Minister Modi will again visit the state on April 13 and will address mega rallies at Mangaluru and Bengaluru. While on April 18, Prime Minister will address public rallies at Chikkodi and Gangavati on April 18. Both Chikkodi and Gangavati will go to polls on April 23.

Apart from Prime Minister Narendra, BJP has tasked former Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan to address a couple of rallies in the south state. While BJP’s Star Campaigner and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will address a couple of rallies on April 15 and 21.

BJP president Amit Shah will also campaign in the state and slated to address a couple of rallies with at Davangere on April 10, Hassan on April 12, Tumkur on April 17 and will also address many on April 20.

Karnataka has a total of 28 Lok Sabha seats and polling for the Lok Sabha 2019 will be spread in two phases on April 18 and April 23.

The Constituencies going for polls on April 18 include Udupi-Chikmagular, Hassan, Dakshin Kannada, Chitradurga (SC), Tumakuru, Mandya, Mysuru, Chamarajanagar (SC), Bengaluru North, Bengaluru Central, Bengaluru South, Chikkaballapur and Kolar (SC) Parliamentary Seat.

The remaining 14 Lok Sabha Seats of the state will go to polls on April 23.

Congress and JD(S) in a run-up to the general elections have forged an alliance with 20:8 seat agreement. BJP going all alone in the state that sends 28 parliamentarians to the Lok Sabha.

Election Commission had on March 10 declared schedule for General Elections 2019. General Elections are slated for April-May this year that would spread on Seven Phases starting from April 11 to May 19. Counting of Votes and Results for the mega Battle of ballots will be announced on May 23 four days after the 7th phase of voting.

In 2014 General Elections, BJP banking on the ‘Modi Wave’ bagged 17 seats while Congress had won 9 seats. JD(S) who has contested 25 Lok Sabha seats in 2014 General Elections won only two seats.
