Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Parliamentary Board meeting begins at Parliament Hall. The meeting is currently underway with PM Modi, Amit Shah, Pralhad Joshi among other top brasses of the party attending it.
The meeting comes days before the Union Budget is slated to be tabled in the Lok Sabha. The new Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget 2019 on July 5.

The BJP Parliamentary Board was earlier scheduled for June 25 last month. However, it got postponed following the sudden demise of Bharatiya Janata Party’s Rajasthan unit Cihef Madan Lal Saini’s death.
This is the first meeting of the BJP’s Parliamentary Board after the party appointed JP Nadda as its working president.
Earlier on June 12, BJP reconstituted its Parliamentary Party Executive Committee with PM Narendra Modi as the leader of the party, While Rajnath Singh as Deputy leader of the party (Lok Sabha).

The party has also appointed Whips in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, While the party has appointed Kailash Vijaywargiya as the Prabhari of BJP Parliamentary Party Office.
As per the Statement by the party, It has named following Leaders as the Special Invitees (Lok Sabha) – Nitin Gadkari, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Arjun Munda, Narendra Singh Tomar, Smriti Irani, and Jual Oram.
While in Rajya Sabha, the party has named following Leaders Special Invitees – JP Nadda, Om Prakash Mathur, Nirmala Sitharaman, Dharmendra Pradhan and Prakash Javadekar.
