The Bhartiya Janta Party on Saturday released its manifesto for upcoming Madhya Pradesh Assembly Polls. The party who is ruling in the state since 2003 is trying to retain its power this time amidst accusations from Indian National Congress on government failures on many fronts. The state has witnessed a series of protests last year by farmers demanding better minimum support price and other demands.

The manifesto called as ‘Drishti Patra’ or the vision document was released by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in BJP Headquarters in Bhopal. 10 Lakh jobs every year to youths, welfare of all sections of the society, fair investigations of cases under SC and ST Act, a two-wheeler for girls who score 75 per cent in class 12 and a bonus for farmers who didn’t sell their products in mandis are among the major promises made by the Party in its manifesto.

Speaking to the reporters, CM Shivraj Singh said “We will provide 10 lakh jobs and self-employment opportunities per year to the youth of the state. CM Shivraj, who was along with Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Narendra Singh Tomar promised to make a provision for free education for the poor.

He added “BJP will ensure the welfare of every section of the society if voted to power. We will ensure the welfare of farmers, women, traders, and backward section. We have prepared the roadmap of the development of the state”

The ruling party also released a separate manifesto for women with a key promise to start a sensitization programme for men in order to change the mindset to create an atmosphere for women’s’ safety and dignity.

Unlike Congress, the BJP has not mentioned Ram Van Gaman Path but promised to develop Narmada Parikrama. The party also promised to more gaushalas and cow sanctuaries.

The poll-bound state will go for voting for its 230 seats on November 28 and results would be announced on December 11.

Indian National Congress had launched its manifesto, Vachan Patra last Saturday. The opposition promised to make a spiritual department and plans to promote the Sanskrit language. It also speaks about commercial production of gaumutra and cowdung.
