Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will organize a two-day orientation program for all its 303 Lok Sabha MPs and 78 Rajya Sabha MPs on August 3 and 4. The event is slated to be held at parliament library building which will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The party is organizing the two-day program with an aim to give them tips and training, at the same party will also focus on enhancing public and Parliamentary conduct of the parliamentarians.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the two-day orientation program. Apart from him, many senior leaders from the party, including BJP chief Amit Shah, is expected to address all the parliamentarians.
The decision to hold orientation program for the parliamentarians was taken in Bharatiya Janata Party Parliamentary Board meeting which was attended by all top leaders including Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, among others. Party’s Senior leaders will motive and inspire all the new lawmakers to adopt best practices.
Briefing the media after the parliamentary board meeting, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said the party will organize a two-day training program for all its MPs from both the houses, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, on August 3-4.
He added that party every year organized a training program for its workers, however, this year there be no such program because of the elections.
It should be noted Bharatiya Janata Party had in 2014 also organized a similar orientation program for its MPs. The event, at that time, was held at Haryana’s Surajkund.
Prior to this, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had planned a total of 7 such interactions with PM Modi. In his initial interactions, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met party Parliamentarians belonging to the OBC, SC and ST categories, Women MPs and those who were ministers once.
The interaction with PM Modi has been planned to encourage MPs of both the houses by giving them the opportunity to directly interact with the prime minister.
