Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav is gearing up for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, he has asked his party members to start preparations for the poll.

While preparing for the poll he started the campaign by criticising the launch of GST saying that GST was only beneficial for big traders. He even mocked the Narendra Modi-led NDA government should resort to using “mantras” to resolve people’s problems without taking any real steps.

Attacking BJP he said that with the implementation of demonetisation and GST, it has only made the lives of people more difficult. He also added that BJP is known for spreading lies for political gains and that his party will fight against it.

Akhilesh also accused Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh for failing to maintain the law and order situation in the state. He questioned as to how many criminals and land mafias were put behind bars and what actions have been taken against them. He further added that with frequent transfers of the policemen their morale is dropping down and their confidence in the government is decreasing. He also alleged that all the centre-welfare schemes started by him during his rule have been ruled out just because they were associated with Samajwadi Party.
