Naseemuddin Siddiqi

Bahujan Samaj Party, on Wednesday expelled senior party leader and the muslim face of the party, Naseemuddin Siddiqui for indulging in anti-party activities. Along with Naseemuddin, his son Afzal was also expelled.

ANI Quoted BSP general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Satish Chandra Mishra saying that Naseemuddin has been indulged in anti-party activities and has accepted monetary benefits to help people with their work. He was considered close to the BSP chief Mayawati.

The rift in BSP has been ongoing since a few months. Last month, Mayawati had removed Siddiqui from the post of UP BSP chief, however to cover up later, he was made in-charge of Madhya Pradesh.

BSP has had tough times since last few years. It managed to win only 19 out of 403 seats in the recently concluded assembly elections. In 2014 general elections, the party could not win a single seat.
