Mayawati‘s Bahujan Samaj Party who is contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls 2019 in Rajasthan on its own released its first list of 5 Candidates out of the total 25 Parliamentary Seats.

The Lucknow Headquarters party named Imran Khan from Alwar, Harish Kumar from Kota, Badri Prasad from Jhalawar-Baran, Keshulal from Udaipur and Colonel Durga Lal from Ajmer parliamentary constituencies.

BSP’s Imran Khan in Alwar will face Congres Candidate Jitendra Singh while BJP is yet to announce the Candidate. While In Kota, BSP’s Harish Kumar will take on BJP’s Om Birla and Congress’ Ramnarayan Meena.

The party in a run-up to the mega battle of the ballot has announced to contest on all 25 seats in Rajasthan. Speaking to the media on the occasion, BSP state president Sitaram Meghwal said party in the coming days will soon announce more candidates.

It is noteworthy that Bahujan Samaj Party had in last year assembly polls bagged 8 assembly seats. The violet outfit has sizeable vote share in eastern Rajasthan.

The Bahujan Samaj Party will take on the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Indian National Congress in Rajasthan. Both Congress and BJP have also started rolling out the list of Candidates.

Bharatiya Janata Party has taken Hanuman Beniwal’s Rashtriya Loktantrik Party along with it and has offered Nagaur parliamentary seat.

Bahujan Samaj Party in a run-up to the national elections has forged an alliance with Samajwadi party in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Maharashtra apart from Madhya Pradesh.

General Elections are slated to begin from April 11 and would spread on Seven Phases starting from April 11 to May 19. Election Commission had on March 10 declared schedule for General Elections 2019.

Voting in 25 seats of Rajasthan will be held across in 2 phases: April 29 and May 6. In 2014 General elections, amidst heavy Modi wave, BJP swept Rajasthan bagging all 25 seats in the state.
