Mayawati‘s Bahujan Samaj Party on Monday sacked its lone legislator Kushwaha Shivpujan Mehta for allegedly involved in anti-party activities, claimed a BSP State legislator. A BSP State functionary told media that Mehta has been accused of neglecting his assembly constituency, Hussainabad.

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) State in-charge Chachu Ram confirming the development said that he has been dismissed by the party for anti-party activities and indiscipline.

However, the MLA junked the allegations and said that he is yet to get information on this regard.

He also dismissed the allegations saying that he was never involved in anti-party activities. “It is a malicious decision. I have neither got any direction (on dismissal) from the party in-charge nor any letter from the party. I have been visiting my assembly constituency regularly. I have not indulged in anti-party activities,” he said as reported by ANI.

While the BSP State President Subal Das also slammed the lone legislator Kushwaha Shivpujan Mehta saying that he was giving no time his constituency. Das added, ‘When people of the constituency complained about his absence, he resorted to ‘drama’ by resigning from the state Assembly.

He further added BSP Legislator had not informed his party’s national president Mayawati nor even State in-charge Chachu Ram.

Mehta has last week submitted his resignation to Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Dinesh Oraon claiming the problems in his constituency has not been solved in the last four-and-a-half.

In his letter to Assembly Speaker, he claimed that despite raising the issues of his constituency couple of times, the issues have not been resolved.

However, the assembly speaker rejected the resignation by BSP legislator saying that the resignation was taken into haste.
