The Interim Finance Minister Piyush Goyal on Thursday presented ‘Interim Budget 2019‘ ahead of Lok Sabha Polls that are slated for April-May 2019. Finance Minister made some massive announcements including raising tax rebate up to 5 lakhs income, Rs 6,000 to Farmers yearly to double their income by 2022, and others.
Piyush Goyal got the temporary charge of the Finance minister in the absence of Arun Jaitley, who reportedly, who reportedly underwent surgery in the US.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath termed it as ‘Independent India’s Greatest Ever’ Budget. CM said, ‘All sections of the society incl farmers, middle class, poor & women have been mentioned in this budget. This budget will help achieve the dream of a ‘New India’.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi took to social networking site Twitter and take a jibe at PM Kisan Yojana. Gandhi, in a tweet, said, ‘Dear NoMo, 5 years of your incompetence and arrogance has destroyed the lives of our farmers. Giving them Rs. 17 a day is an insult to everything they stand and work for’

Speaking on the initiatives and schemes laid by the Budget 2019, Union Minister Radha Mohan Singh said, ‘We have also issued guidelines for Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. In the 2018-19 financial year, for months before March, Rs 2000 will be transferred to farmers’ accounts, and in the financial year, 2019-20 farmers will get Rs 6000′. Applauding his government, Bhartiya Janta Party President Amit Shah said that ‘The budget has met the expectations of farmers, labourers & middle class. West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC Supremo Mamata Banerjee speaking about the Budget said,’This govt has no moral authority or responsibility to place the budget for 5 years when they’ll not be in power; the govt will go for expiry. Piyush Goyal after presenting the Interim Budget in the Lok Sabha held a Press Conference. In his briefing to the media persons, termed Budget Historic.
