JD(U)‘s pain was exposed on not getting a seat during the expansion of the Modi Cabinet when party’s spokesperson KC Tyagi in a statement to the press said that the party is not disappointed at not being involved in the cabinet but JD(U) was hoping to work at the centre in the same collaboration as it was working in Bihar with BJP.

He further added that the party leaders are not disappointed at not being selected as the Union ministers, but the party is regretting that this incident had given a chance to the opposition to speak against the newly formed alliance in Bihar. Tyagi said that the expansion of the cabinet was altogether the business of BJP, while some new faces were added and few were removed but the disappointment is that JD(U) was not even invited for the event.

Rajya Sabha MP KC Tyagi said that only BJP can answer, why JD(U) was not invited for the expansion, however he added that in the next reshuffle, BJP will keep JD(U) in mind and give the party the deserved seats in the cabinet, so that both the parties cordially function, both at the state as well as the Centre.

Taking out his anger on BJPP, Tyagi said that, RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav who was rejected by the party on the grounds of corruption charges against him is now raising questions on the relations between JD(U) and BJP and is taunting the new alliance. Lalu got this opportunity because of BJP and this should not have happened, Tyagi said.

Meanwhile, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar trying to shield the alliance said that the issue of joining the cabinet was uproared by the media, and no such discussions were held between BJP and JD(U). He added that there were no talks of cabinet expansion and JD(U) was unreasonable included by the media, which is now the medium of speaking of the RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav. Kumar also said that because of the media deliberately up roaring the issue now Lalu has got a chance to speak against JD(U) and BJP and he is using abusive and bitter words against the parties.

After the alliance between JD(U) and BJP in Bihar, it was being assumed that at least two leaders will be given place in the Modi cabinet during the expansion. One was expected to be given the status of a cabinet minister and one would be made the Minister of State.

Meanwhile, after the JDU did not get the place in the Modi Cabinet, the RJD has accelerated the attack against Nitish Kumar. RJD has alleged that Nitish Kumar’s decision to go with BJP was not a decision taken in a single night but the conspiracy was being planned for several months. The party held the Srajan Scam as the biggest reason behind JD(U) not involved in the expansion.

Counter attacking the statement of Nitish Kumar that media deliberately uproared the issue, RJD’s spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav said that, the media channels have been airing the news of the Mod cabinet’s expansion from many days, why did Nitish Kumar did not deny it before the crackdown? Now that the party has faced disappointment it is blaming the media and asking it to close the chapter, he added.

RJD said that after the break up of the grand alliance, JD(U) leaders had issued abusive and insulting comments against the RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family members and this was very distressing as there is no place for abusive language in the Indian democracy. Shakti Singh said that public awareness among the common people of Bihar is the result of betrayal. Further attacking the Bihar Chief Minister he said that the statement given by Nitish Kumar over the floods was shocking. Blaming the nature and calling it a havoc of nature was like hiding his own failures, he added.

RJD Spokesperson continued attacking the Nitish Kumar led government saying that the mismanagement of Bihar’s water resources department paved the path for the tragedy of floods in Bihar. Rescue work was so careless that hundreds of people lost their lives in this tragedy and many of them could not even see the faces of the dead family members. He further added that just a small amount of Rs 6000 will not be enough to fill the scars of the victims hit by floods in Bihar.

Shakti Singh questioned JD(U) that the party claimed to be the followers of Gandhi than suddenly in just one night how the party principles changed from Gandhian to Ghodsewadi? He accused that Hundreds of crores of rupees went under corruption money behind the disguise of funds the water resource department, thousands of crores of rupees were shattered in the Srajan scam, still, the Nitish Kumar government chose to be silent on these matters. He further attacking the government’s claim of zero tolerance against corruption said that, is it possible that such big scams were operating and it went unnoticed by the government? How can you still claim that the government does not bear corruption at any cost, he questioned.

RJD Spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav finally said that the public never forgets and forgives treason and repression no matter how many layers are coated over it to hide it.
