Ahead of Lok Sabha 2019 Elections, a Cabinet Reshuffle and induction of new faces are expected in Mamata Banerjee led TMC Government who is serving his second term in the state, said sources who are familiar with the developments on the condition of anonymity.

After the resignation of Mayor of Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC), Sovan Chatterjee who also steps down from important Portfolios including Fire and Environment, and following the death of Assembly Deputy Speaker Haider Aziz Safwi. Many ministers in the cabinet are handling additional portfolios.

To Solve this problem, and on the top Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wanted to complete all pending projects before the end of this Financial Year 2018-19. TMC Chief and West Bengal Chief Minister is eyeing the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 and in a run, she wanted to fill all vacant ministerial post in a bid to complete all the pending projects.

Sources said a swearing-in-ceremony is expected at Raj Bhawan, Kolkata on Thursday with
new faces like Bidhanagar segment legislator Sujit Bose, Chakdha MLA Ratna Ghosh
Uluberia (north) lawmaker Nirmal Majhi and Tapas Roy of Baranagor MLA.

The oath-taking ceremony is expected around 1330 hours on Thursday, a source said.
