Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu held a cabinet meeting at the state secretariat on Tuesday to discuss the issues including the relief measures in the cyclone-affected areas. The issues discussed in the cabinet meeting for the scarcity of drinking water, the status of employment including the NREGS in the state, the effect of climate changes, and the reconstruction of the destructed property.

Election Commission of India (ECI) give the permission for the cabinet meeting after the chief secretary LV Subramanyam visit to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu residence to discuss the prevailing situation in the state after the cyclone Fani hit the state. The permission was given as the Model Code of Conduct is in place.

Election Commission of India made it clear that any new decision or revision of rates aur any outstanding payment will require election commissions permission before the implementation. The Election Commission also restricted to any announcement in media about the enhancement of the rates.

Chandrababu Naidu also that if election commission is acting against the TDP and favoring YSRCP. He alleged that ECI is against TDP as it changed the chief secretary of Andhra Pradesh and some senior bereaucrats.

The cabinet meeting was missed by three ministers who were abroad due to personal reasons. However Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Adinarayana Reddy, Pithani Satyanarayana, and Sujaya Krishna Rangarao did not attend the meeting.
