Chandrababu Naidu seeks a countrywide debate on EVMs

Andhra Pradesh Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu had asked for a countrywide debate on EVMs.

Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu asked for a countrywide debate on EVMs mentioning the tampering with EVMs. “Our fight against EVMs began a decade ago and it will continue until achieving justice,” he maintained. Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu has always mentioned that EVMs can be tampered with and continues to state there needs to be proper VVPAT system to ensure that the EVMs are not tampered with.

“The votes polled in EVM and VVPATs should be tallied and in case there is mismatch, all the VVPAT slips of the constituency cocerned should be counted,” said Chandrababu Naidu.

“When there is no objection to PM holding review meeting on cyclone after the National Crisis Management Committee meeting, why is the EC raising objection to such review meetings by the chief ministers of Opposition-ruled States? The EC failed to interfere when Modi conducted a Cabinet meeting,” Naidu said and demanded to know whether the election code is not applicable to Modi.

Earlier Chandrababu Naidu had also written to EC mentioning EVM glitches during Lok Sabha elections that recently concluded in the state.
