Big Economic Boost for Odisha: CM Naveen Patnaik Unveils Industrial Projects Worth Over ₹2000 crores

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday unveiled four Industrial Units and laid the foundation stone of 14 more plants, giving a major boost to the state Infrasture and State’s Economy, a state government Official informed. Official added that the projects worth ₹2196.30 will create jobs for more than 3500 people.

The State Government is working hard to ensure that ‘intents get covered into actual Investments’ said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik after Inaugurating multiple projects. He added, GO-SWIFT, a single window portal, has received over 600 industrials project applications in the last 14 months.

Speaking on the Launch Programme, Chief Secretary AP Padhi asserted that a dedicated mechanism of ‘Industry Care’ has been launched recently to facilitate and provide ‘aftercare services’ to the Industrial Units set up in the State of Odisha.

He added that the E-Suvidha Portal, which was till now handling the grievances of Industrial Units with an Investment of more than ₹50 crores, will now be extended to MSMEs.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik among prominent projects inaugurated was a cement plant at Kalinganagar, a planned industrial and modern town in Jajpur district of coastal Odisha. Cement Plant has an investment of over ₹400 crores, an official said adding that the plant has a potential to create around 258 jobs.

Odisha’s investor-friendly policies have received positive feedback from investors across the country, the official said, adding that the Patnaik government has been able to create an ideal ecosystem for business to flourish in the state.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday also inaugurated KALIA Scholarship for farmers children. CM said in a tweet, ‘#KALIAScholarship adds new paradigm to @KALIAforOdisha, allowing farmers’ children to dream big. Meritorious children can now pursue technical & professional education, at Govt expenses, to realize their dreams, further empowering our farming families’.
