Congress President Rahul Gandhi is bent upon exposing the Rafale “scam”. In a similar bid, Gandhi has formed a six-member ‘task force’ which will apprise masses and hold press conferences over alleged Rafale “scam”, reported ANI.
The six-member team is headed by Congress veteran Jaipal Reddy. The other members include Arjun Modhwadia, Shakti Singh Gohil, Priyanka Chaturvedi, Jaiveer Shergill and Pawan Khera. Congress national spokesperson Randeep Surjewala will be the supervisor of the team. The members have been selected by the Congress chief, reported ANI.
The team will conduct protest across the country, address press conferences and expose the Modi led BJP government at the ground level, reported DNA.
Congress will make –Rafale deal between India and France– the core topic for attacking BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The six-team committee has been asked to “build narrative” against the Central government on the basis of the allegations against the Rafale deal, reported ANI.
The task force will begin its operations from August 25.
ANI reported, besides 100 conferences to be held across the country, 160 districts will be covered throughout the nation in six months time period to inform the masses about the Rafale “scam”.
Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said, “It was decided that corruption, scams of the Modi government particularly the Rafale scam will be taken to people of India. In the next 30 days, Congress workers will do district and state level demonstrations. We will ensure a fair probe, independent probe, a JPC is constituted immediately. We will not be deterred and pushed back,” DNA India reported.
