Ashish Kulkarni, a Congress war room functionary sent his resignation letter to party Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Friday.

This, however, an ordinary matter created breaking news as Rahul dismissed he letter assuming it to be a ploy played by BJP. Congress spokesperson Ajay Maken questioned the validity of the letter and of Ashish. He said that “who is he, have you seen him ever at AICC?” and dismissed the letter

Ashish who claimed to be a party member and an office-bearer at the coordination centre listed quite a few reasons for his resignation. He said that Congress lacked to focus on developing effective management system in many state elections and manage the campaigns systematically. He also alleged that few senior leaders in the party are unable to make an honest study of the party debacle. Ashish also held Rahul Gandhi for the resignation saying that Rahul failed to fulfill the promise of ensuring inner-party democracy.

Congress denied to recognise Ashish Kulkarni as the party member and assumed the letter to be some fake and a ploy of BJP and rejected the resignation.
